City Hall leaders are looking for Lawrence homes that have taken steps to become more energy efficient and sustainable.

The city is preparing for its annual Sustainable Homes Tour on Sept. 11 and is seeking entries. Homeowners or businesses interested in having their home featured on the 2010 tour can e-mail recycling@ci.lawrence.ks.us to get more information or call 832-3030.

The deadline to apply to be part of the tour is July 30.

The city also is accepting applications from businesses that want to participate in the Lawrence Energy Conservation Fair, which also will be on Sept. 11. There is a $75 registration fee to participate in the fair. The exhibitor deadline is Aug. 16. An application can be found online at lawrenceks.org/wrr/energyfair.
