University Bridge Club announces results of its July 10 meeting, with hosts Harold and Donna Riehm.

Blue winners were Tom Waller, first; Al Smith, second; Janet Dunn, third; Walt Hicks, fourth; and Alice Akin, fifth.

Pink winners were Donna Riehm, first; Edna Galle, second; Florence McNicoll, third; Cathy Waller, fourth; and Karen Zimmerer, fifth.

Over the Rainbow Doll Club met July 8 at the home of Barbara Walden. LouAnne Burgess gave a lesson on Robert Tonner’s Ellowyne Wilde. Ellowyne, a new doll on the market, has a wide assortment of “Wilde” clothes, and each outfit comes with a poem. The Wilde Imagination collection includes a friend, boyfriend and a cat. Door prizes were won by Vera Piersee and Brenda Owens. Final plans were made to visit the doll museum and have tea at Hotel Josephine in Holton. Patti Joyce agreed to give a presentation on doll repair and care at the annual open meeting in September.

The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on July 7 was directed by Chris Lane. North-South winners were Klee Zaricky and John Oxley, first in A; Chris Lane and Charles Hedges, second in A and first in B; Dick Shaffer and Ann Thompson, third in A, second in B, and first in C; and Lester Dalton and Mary Fenlon, fourth in A; and Barbara McCorkle and Judy Bevan, third in B and second in C.

East-West winners were Vince Nordberg and Steven Vossler, first in A; Craig Huneke and Ed Howard, second in A; Shari Krentzel and Mary Mertz, third in A and first in B; Paul Heitzman and David Piro, fourth in A; Yvonne Hedges and Sally Taylor, second in B; Eldon Herd and Mona Bell, third in B; and Patricia Lechtenberg and Angie Davidson, first in C.

The Thursday Morning Mentor Duplicate Bridge Club’s July 8 game was directed by Chris Lane. Winners were Eldon Herd and Barbara McCorkle, first; Barbara Haverty and Virginia Seaver, second; Angie Davidson and Doris Sindt, third; and Ann Thompson and Mary Cornwell, fourth.

The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on July 9 was directed by Virginia Seaver. North-South winners were Eldon Herd and Jean Otney, first in A and B; Virginia Seaver and Charles Hedges, second in A; and Shirley Reese and Yvonne Hedges, third in A and second in B.

East-West winners were David Piro and Paul Heitzman, first in A; Katha Hurt and Linda Schottler, second in A and first in B; Lois Clark and Dianne Childs, third in A and second in B; and Jack Flickinger and Dick Shaffer, first in C.

The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on July 12 utilized the Howell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. Winners were Larry Weatherholt and Steven Vossler, first in A; Donna Johnson and James Masilamani, second in A; Eldon Herd and Shari Krentzel tied for third in A with Ed Howard and David Piro; Herd and Krentzel, were also first in B; and Adelaide Nyquist and John Fittell, fifth in A and second in B.
