Crack-sealing set for Saturday along parts of Sixth Street, Bob Billings Parkway

Work to fill cracks along portions of Sixth Street and Bob Billings Parkway could lead to minor delays Saturday for drivers, a city spokeswoman said.

Beginning at 4:30 a.m., a city-hired contractor is scheduled to start filling cracks in the eastbound lanes of Sixth, from Folks Road to Monterey Way, said Megan Gilliland, the city’s communications manager.

Once finished, crews then will move over to Bob Billings Parkway, where cracks will be filled on lanes in both directions betweenInverness and Crossgate drives.

“Single lane closures will be used during the maintenance,” Gilliland said. “Minor delays may be expected.”

Weather permitting, she said, the work should be completed Saturday.
