Lawrence firefighters responded to a call of a semi-truck fire in the Graystone Apartment complex parking lot at 5:44 a.m. Wednesday.
According to division chief Joe Hoelscher, fire fighters were dispatched to the 500 block of Graystone Street for a heavily involved fire involving a semi-truck. Hoelscher said it took fire fighters several minutes to extinguish the flames in the parked semi. He said the officers are conducting a routine investigation and a damage estimate was not yet available.

"minutes to put the extinguish the flames" FYI. Might want to redo this.

I lived in that complex (500 Graystone Drive to be exact) about ten years ago. Some of those units do have parking in front of them, but others, including the 500 building, do not and are only a few feet away from the drive. I'm surprised that the buildings themselves didn't go up along with the "heavily involved" semi.

The video should come with a warning for those who have epilepsy

Had to watch for myself to see what the complaints were about, and I have to agree--the video adds exactly nothing to this article. I can't imagine why anyone thought it would be a good idea to post it. If a photo or video helps tell the story or provides interest or drama, it should be used. But footage should not be added just because somebody doesn't want to hurt the feelings of the person who shot it. That is the only possible reason I can think of to explain why this one was posted. Poorly shot, poorly illuminated, it cannot stand by itself (i.e., you can't tell what is happening w/o reading the story), and it certainly does not advance the story in any way.
