Wichita — The leading Republican candidates for a U.S. Senate seat from Kansas have two debates this week in Wichita.
Republican congressmen Jerry Moran and Todd Tiahrt have their first event at 6:30 p.m., broadcast from KWCH, the CBS television affiliate in Wichita. Viewers with Sunflower Broadband can tune in to channel 6, which will air the debate after its 6 p.m. newscast. LJWorld.com will also stream the debate live.
The two other candidates in the Aug. 3 GOP primary also are expected to participate. They are Mound City accountant Tom Little and Overland Park attorney Robert Londerholm, who served as Kansas attorney general from 1965 to 1969.
Moran and Tiahrt will then have a one-on-one debate at noon Tuesday sponsored by Wichita's chamber of commerce, at the Hyatt Regency hotel.
