Ex-Jayhawk golfer finishes 21st at John Deere Classic

? Former Kansas University golfer Gary Woodland fired a final-round 70 Sunday to finish at 11-under-par 273, good for a tie for 21st place in the John Deere Classic, played at TPC Deere Run.

Woodland earned $36,418 in that tournament that earned winner Steve Stricker $792,000.

Since returning from shoulder surgery that cut his regular season short, Woodland has played in five PGA Tour events, made three cuts and earned $95,815.
