Reutimann notches 2nd victory

? David Reutimann won for the second time in his NASCAR Sprint Cup career, holding off Carl Edwards to take Saturday’s LifeLock.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway.

Reutimann’s first victory came in the 2009 Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in a race that was delayed by rain from Sunday until Monday, then halted by rain with Reutimann standing next to his car on pit road.

Saturday’s victory came with Reutimann’s Toyota roaring over the start-finish line.

“Since that deal at Charlotte, he’s wanted to (win) one on his own,” said Reutimann’s crew chief, Rodney Childers.

Carl Edwards was less than a second behind Reutimann for his best finish of the season. Jeff Gordon was third.

Jimmie Johnson dominated the early portion of the race. Starting second alongside pole winner Jamie McMurray, Johnson passed McMurray on the first lap and led for first 92 laps.

Johnson later spun into the grass on the backstretch because of a right-front tire problem. That put Johnson two laps down and out of contention.

Points leader Kevin Harvick struggled for much of the race.
