Manhattan ? Taylor Gentry carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning and the Lawrence Cactus defeated the Missouri Trailblazers, 8-4, on Friday at the Kansas State Showcase.

“Taylor was outstanding,” Cactus coach Wilson Kilmer said. “He actually hit the first batter of the game, but got out of trouble. He then faced the minimum in the second through the fifth innings.”

The Trailblazers broke up the no-hitter with a triple to right field in the sixth.

The Cactus will play at 12:30 p.m. today against Building Champions.
