A 38-year-old Lawrence woman was a victim of aggravated battery Monday night in the 1700 block of West 24th Street.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Ted Bordman, the victim and her 22-year-old niece were visiting the victim’s boyfriend when she was hit in the face and injured by shattered glass. The suspect was visiting the boyfriend as well, but the boyfriend said he did not know the suspect’s name.

The 38-year-old was treated and released for facial lacerations.
