A 46-year-old Lawrence man reported Sunday the theft of a 1999 red Toyota Tacoma from the 800 block of Kentucky Street.
According to police reports, the incident occurred between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. Sunday. The car was valued at $7,000.

Value is $7000? For a '99? I don't think so. Using KBB I could only come up with a private property value of at most $5500 for a '99 Tacoma in good condition.
