Lawrence Police have arrested four suspects and are looking for two more after an early morning robbery and burglary at a home in the 1400 block of Tennessee Street.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Matt Sarna, a victim reported that six unknown people broke into their home at 2:47 a.m. Monday morning. The suspects threatened the victim with a knife while they removed property from the home. No injuries were reported.

The victim was able to get a vehicle description and called police, who located the vehicle at 3:07 a.m. in the 1500 block of Highway 40 in north Lawrence, Sarna said.

Police arrested four suspects, including two Leavenworth men, an 18 and 19-year-old, an 18-year-old Lansing woman, and a 17-year-old Lansing resident. The two Leavenworth men and Lansing woman were booked into the Douglas County Jail on charges of aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary, and the 17-year-old was taken into juvenile custody.

Sarna said police were unable to locate two other suspects, a white male and a black male. No further description was provided.

This is the same police force and DA's office who continue to let the guilty go free. If you have money and are white you can get off.

"The victim was able to get a vehicle description...." because the victim probably knew some or all the people involved and knew what car they would be riding in.

You can bet your butt it wasn't random. Six people from Levenworth drive down to Lawrence to do a random home invasion/robbery, just hoping there might be something of value in the home they randomly picked to rob - Yeah, right!

I wonder if this article is related to the strong armed robbery that took place a couple of days ago.

So, have random drive-by shootings now been replaced with random home invasions?

11worthless....that town is a joke...the cops are corrupt..so are the lawyers and judges...the only thing that keeps that town floating is the fort.....

plenty of scum there. I lived there for awhile until somebody broke into my apartment I bought a shotgun after someone broke into my second floor apartment, the cops told me if i shot someone breaking into my place i would be charged for shooting them.....Say What!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So that is when i decide to move here....been here 18 years. Well i hope they throw the book at them..and they go away for a very very longtime.....

did u know a very very longtime ago..when that area was first being settled they had a choice of the university of kansas being located there or a prison...they chose the prison they felt the university wasn't a good idea....but the prison was...LoL....stupid monkeys!

i hope they rot in jail.

I wish these people would stay in their own cities and terrorize the people there! I guess there's nothing to steal in Leavenworth and Lansing so they come to Lawrence, home of the Gluttons?

Wow. These are people who need to be locked up, and for a very long time.
