4-H and FCE news

The Lone Star 4-H Club met June 14. Ashley Burgoon reported there were 14 people from Douglas County at Discovery Days. Rowan Plinsky gave a talk on photography. Club members are getting their projects ready for the Douglas County Fair. The next meeting will be July 12 at Jayhawk Bowling to display their finished projects.

The Clinton Eagles 4-H Club met June 28 at the Heine household. The meeting was called to order by president Kirstyn Heine. Roll call was answered by “How will you celebrate the Fourth of July?” Sign-up sheets were passed around for a club tour on July 24. Community leader Lanaea Heine talked about fair entry forms and deadlines. The meeting was adjourned by saying the club pledge and motto.

The India FCE will meet at 1:15 p.m. Thursday at the home of Faye Young, 426 Neb. The lesson, “Time For Tea,” will be given by Ginny Hunsinger. Roll call will be answered by an Independence Day story.
