Sled dog racer to recount experience
Three-time Iditarod Sled Dog Race competitor Karen Land will be speaking about her experiences at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Lawrence Public Library, 707 Vt.
Land will be joined by Borage, one of her Alaskan Husky dogs, as she recounts making the 1,150-mile race across Alaska.
The event, sponsored by Del Monte Pet Products, is free and open to those ages 5 and up.
