— A White House spokesman on Thursday slammed evangelist broadcaster Pat Robertson’s remark that Haiti has been cursed.

A devastating magnitude-7 earthquake hit there Tuesday.

“It never ceases to amaze me that in times of amazing human suffering somebody says something that can be so utterly stupid,” White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said.

The day after the earthquake, Robertson said Haiti has been “cursed” because of what he called a “pact with the devil” in its history.

I think Danny Glover is an idiot and the comment was stupid, but it was not hateful and not comparable to what Robertson said. Why in the world should Obama respond to every stupid statement ever made in America? If that were the case, you and Marion alone would consume more than 100% of his time.

"I guess Obama has never openly expressed his hateful and racist thoughts"

Unlike yourself, as you are more than willing to express your hateful and racist thoughts on a regular basis. Isn't that right Invictus?

Geez, I don't come around here that often anymore, and I see the only thing that has changed is the logon name. So how many does that make for you now?

Where do we line up to fish slap Robertson???? Senile old fart. When you have someone like Franklin Graham and also the Southern Babtist Church openly disagreeing with what Robertson said, that should wake up a few of his followers. It is sick to make those kind of comments when mothers are holding their dead and dying babies, and people are walking the streets amid an increasing stench of death crying out and searching for their loved ones. I think Robertson has an early (or advanced?) form of dementia.
