Youth Wrestling: Alan Clothier and Tristan Star of Lawrence Sunflower Kids Wrestling earned gold medals Saturday at the Northland Tournament in Parkville, Mo., and teammate Dylan Gillespie captured gold at a Sunday novice tournament in Bonner Springs. At Parkville, Ryan Walter earned silver and Ryan Bellinger bronze. At Bonner, Chase Dressler picked up a second place, and Holden Andrews, Hagen Andrews and Cale Lynch posted thirds.

Softball Fundraiser: Lawrence Thunder U-14 softball will hold Texas Hold ‘Em tournaments at 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Friday at Set ‘Em Up Jacks, with a suggested $20 donation at the door.

Weekend Swim Meet: Lawrence Aquahawks will stage the Midwest All-Star Age-Group Invitational Saturday and Sunday at the Indoor Aquatic Center. Elite U-14 swimmers from Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Colorado, South Dakota and Iowa will participate. A total of 13 Aquahawks, including current meet record holder Sydney Sirimongkhon Dyck, will be competing with the Missouri Valley team. Sessions will be at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday, and at 8:30 a.m. Sunday. Admission is free.
