Connecticut Street reopens; crews will continue work on water meter Friday

City crews reopened the 1100 block of Connecticut street to traffic at about 3:20 p.m. on Thursday.

But Megan Gilliland, communications director for the city, said the street will be closed again for periods on Friday while crews finish repairs to a water meter in the area.

The 1100 block of Connecticut Street is expected to be closed to traffic until at least 3 p.m. Thursday.

City crews are working to replace a frozen water meter in the block, said Megan Gilliland, communications director for the city.

Detour signs have been put in place to direct traffic around the one block stretch of Connecticut.
