The new Mr. Goodcents of Lawrence announces its grand opening events scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at its new location, 2233 La.

• Former KU basketball player Wayne Simien will sign autographs.

• First 100 customers will receive Kansas Basketball Collectors Cards.

• 10 percent of all sales will go directly to Wayne Simien’s Foundation.

• Mr. Goodcents will offer a 8″ turkey special for the week for $2.99.

• The location is also serving the new Flatbread Pizza. The pizza is only available in a few restaurants; the stores are prepping for its launch in February.
