Mini dance marathon for Lawrence high school students to benefit local children’s hospitals

Lawrence high school students are invited to dance for a children’s charity.

Kansas University Dance Marathon is having a Mini Marathon, which will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28, in the west gym at Lawrence High School, 1901 La.

The event costs $5 to attend and all donations benefit the Children’s Miracle Network.

During the event, students will rotate between stations that include playing basketball, dancing, eating pizza, arts and crafts, and hanging out with local families who benefited from the Children’s Miracle Network.

Last year, the event raised more than $700. The Mini Marathon is a prelude to the KU Dance Marathon that will occur in April.

Both events benefit Kansas University Pediatrics and Children’s Mercy Hospital.
