College Station, Texas ? Juniors Joy Bunting and Iuliia Kuzhil and senior Megan Proehl led the Kansas University swimming and diving team into fourth place at the conclusion of day two of the Big 12 Championships on Thursday.

Kuzhil finished in fifth place in the 50-yard freestyle.

Bunting recorded an eighth-place finish in the 200-yard IM and Proehl finished in sixth place in the 1-meter diving competition.

Kansas’ 200-yard freestyle relay team of Monica Johannessen, Kuzhil, Emily Lanteigne and Amanda Maez started the evening off with a fourth-place finish in a time of 1:31.62.
