25 years ago: Texas man found guilty of attack on KU student

A county jury found a 22-year-old Fort Worth, Texas, man guilty of the March 23 rape and kidnapping of a 22-year-old Kansas University student. The jury had spent three hours in deliberation. The defendant had fled to Texas and had to be extradited. Sentencing was set for later.
