Haskell women win 20th game

— Haskell Indian Nations University earned its first 20-victory women’s basketball season Friday night, defeating College of St. Mary, 78-72, in overtime.

Haskell (20-7) overcame a 10-point first half deficit. Justina George scored 28 points, and Maria Parker had 22 points, 14 rebounds and five blocks.

“Our two potential all-Americans played like all-Americans tonight,” Haskell coach Phil Homeratha said.

HINU will meet Peru (Neb.) State in the MCAC postseason tournament at 5:30 Friday in Point Lookout, Mo.
