The new architect drawing of Wescoe Hall, due to be built on the Kansas University campus, was published. The structure, once scheduled to have 25 stories making it the then-tallest building in the state, had been scaled down to four levels, with two levels above ground, two below.

Went from the tallest building in Kansas to the ugliest. The architect must have been a defector from the former Soviet Union during the cold war or a prison designer as it is the least awe inspiring concrete structure on campus.

Wescoe is an excellent example of Brutalism, very rare in the Midwest. Try to have some perspective, eh? And why should all buildings be 'beautiful' anyway?

Worst building on campus. I'm not even talking about the way it looks. It is also the hardest to use.
