Overland Park ? Chantay Caron’s 12 points weren’t enough for the Free State High girls basketball team on Monday, as it lost to Shawnee Mission West, 46-41.

Ashli Hill added eight points and Lynn Robinson seven for the Firebirds, who fell to 11-6.

Free State will play host to Olathe South on Friday.
