Olathe The Veritas Christian boys basketball team saw opportunity slip away in the fourth quarter of a 38-30 loss to Topeka Cair Paravel on Saturday at Veritas.
The Eagles trailed by only one entering the fourth quarter, but Cair Paravel managed to pull away.
“We were outrebounded badly, and we committed too many turnovers,” Veritas coach Gary Hammer said.
Ethan Kay and Eiljah Penny led Veritas with 12 points apiece. The Eagles (9-10) will travel Tuesday to Kansas School for the Deaf in Olathe.
