The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Jan. 25 utilized the Howell movement and was directed by Virginia Seaver. Winners were Steven Vossler and Larry Weatherholt, first in A; Lois Jones and James Masilamani, second in A; Jerry Sloan and Emily Foster, third in A; Shari Krentzel and Eldon Herd, fourth in A and first in B; Janice Hollowell and Mary Fenlon, fifth in A; and Don Childers and Donald Bush, second in B and first in C.

The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Jan. 27 was directed by Chris Lane. North-South winners were Lester Dalton and Klee Zaricky, first in A and B; Charles Hedges and Mona Bell, second in A and B; Virginia Johnston and Jan O’Connor, third in A and B, and first in C; Carol Ball and Chris Lane, fourth in A; and Earle Core and Albert Ballard, second in C.

East-West winners were Mark Osborn and Lois Clark, first in A and B; David Piro and Paul Heitzman, second in A; Yvonne Hedges and Sally Taylor, third in A and second in B; Angie Davidson and Jack Flickinger, fourth in A, third in B, and first in C; and Bebe Huxtable and Bonnie Haney, second in C.

The Thursday Morning Mentor Duplicate Bridge Club’s game on Jan. 28 utilized the Howell movement and was directed by Chris Lane. Winners were Yvonne Hedges and Earle Core, first; Eldon Herd and Mike Neuner, second; Jean Khatib and Chris Lane, third; Virginia Seaver and Angie Davidson, fourth; and Barbara McCorkle and Dick Shaffer, fifth.

On Feb. 4, Hannah Walter, Jedzia Hicklin and AnnMarie Boor, daughters of Knights of Columbus Council 1372 members, Brian Walter, Ty Hicklin and Duane Boor, presented St. John Catholic School principal Pat Newton with 14,517 in Box Tops For Education that the Knights had collected over the past year. The school will receive $1,415.70 from General Mills.
