Free program about how to improve strength, flexibility offered Friday at Douglas County fairgrounds

The Family and Community Education Council in Douglas County is offering a FREE program on strength and flexibility.

The program, “Exercise We Need to Enhance Strength and Agility,” will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 12, in the Dreher Family 4-H Building at the Douglas County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2110 Harper St.

It is for ALL ages and is designed to learn about the importance of strength and flexibility exercises and how to do them properly. There will be a demonstration of simple, easy exercises that anyone can do.

The hourlong program will be given by Pat Middaugh, instructor of exercise with Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department.

It is free, but registration is requested by calling 843-7058.

It's nice that it's for ALL ages too, but most kids are also in school.

Why must programs such as this one and SOOOO many others always be held during hours that most people are at work?!?!
