A 21-year-old El Dorado man was arrested early Saturday morning after striking another man in the face.

According to Lawrence Police Sgt. Ted Bordman, the incident occurred at an apartment complex in the 2500 block of West 31st street. Bordman said the suspect had battered the victim, hitting him and inflicting facial injuries.

The victim was transported to Lawrence Memorial Hospital by a private vehicle in order to receive treatment for his injuries.

The suspect was booked into the Douglas County Jail about 3:36 a.m.

bcman~ Thanks for clearing that up.

Since there is no mention of that apartment complex by name in the article, readers would have to know the place (and its reputation, I guess) to get brothercumulus's point.

El Dorado ... hmmm. that's a neighborhood in Topeka, right?

Ag Bat. well at least the aggressor should do some time, and maybe do it at El Dorado, too. nice when a hometown boy makes it big in the big city and can return in glory!

If you check the Dg. Co. jail log you see he was charged with Aggravated Battery, so I don't think it was a simple slap in the face.

Significant because someone went to the hospital after being slapped in the face.

I am surprised he wasn't life flighted to Childrens Mercy.
