Haskell women fall

February 6, 2010

Maria Parker scored 20 points, and Justina George added 18, but Haskell Indian Nations University fell to Peru State (Neb.) College, 74-67, in women’s basketball Friday at Coffin Complex.

“Justina and Maria played well, but we just can’t have two people in double figures like that,” Haskell women’s coach Phil Homeratha said. “We have to have more help.”

Haskell lost starting forward Taylor Davis to an ankle injury early in the contest. She’s expected to miss the next few games.

Haskell (17-5) will play host to York College at 3 p.m. today.
