Coyotes Wrestling: Kevin Nichols of Lawrence Coyotes Wrestling Club earned second place in U-10 heavyweight Saturday at the Tournament of Champions in Salina. At a novice meet Sunday in Gardner-Edgerton, firsts went to Elaina Duncan and Carter Long, and seconds to Ryeki Tuley, Sam Hambleton, Michael Stoffer, Canten Ambrose, Quentin Scott and Jeremiah Liska. Thirds went to Kaiden Ambrose, Myles Phillips, Adam Walther, Logan Farrell and Kyle O’Neal.

LHS Spring Sports: Lawrence High will hold a meeting for spring sports hopefuls at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 24 in the school cafeteria. Feb. 26 is the deadline for submitting forms. For information, call 843-5050 and ask for the athletic office.

Firebirds Spirit Clinic: Girls from preschool age through sixth grade are eligible for the Little Firebird Spirit Clinic at 1 p.m. Saturday at Free State High. Participants will perform at Tuesday’s Free State basketball games. Registration forms are available in the school office or call Paige Hofer at 841-4013 to have one e-mailed.

Lions Spirit Clinic: The Little Lions Spirit Clinic will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Lawrence High. Registration will begin at 12:30 p.m. Participants will perform at Tuesday’s Lawrence High basketball games. Registration forms are available at LHS or you can register at the clinic.
