Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins has announced the names of the students from Kansas’ 2nd Congressional district who have received her nomination for appointments to the U.S. Service Academies.

The nominees will now compete for a space in the class of 2015. The service academies will make the final decisions.

Air Force Academy nominees are Jessica Farris, Bonner Springs; Jack Hearnen, Lawrence; and Nathan Petrie, Berryton. Molly Olson-Kelly, Lawrence, received nominations to the Military Academy, the Naval Academy and Merchant Marine Academy.
