Wichita blew open a close game with a 23-6 second quarter.

“That second quarter was a doozy,” Veritas coach Kevin Shelton said. “We’re struggling with two of our starters out (due to injuries), but the break is here. We’re 3-3 and not ashamed of that record.”

Madison Bennett led Veritas with nine points, and Kayli Farley added 8.

Veritas is off until a Jan. 4 trip to Topeka Cornerstone.
