Man faces life sentence after being convicted in Topeka shooting death
A Topeka man faces a life sentence in prison after being convicted of killing a man in revenge for an earlier robbery and beating.
The Shawnee County District Court jury found Trevejon Maurice Killings guilty of the intentional first-degree murder of 24-year-old Antonio Jackson, known as “Ghost.”
Killings will be sentenced Jan. 28. The conviction carries a life sentence with no possibility of parole for 25 years.
The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that witnessed testified that the shooting was revenge after Jackson and another man robbed and beat Killings several weeks before the slaying.
