Atchison ? The attorney for a man accused of murdering a 58-year-old Horton, Kan., woman has hired a co-defender.

Joseph Huerter, of Topeka, will co-defend for 58-year-old Roger Hollister, who has pleaded not guilty to a capital murder charge in the death of Patricia Kimmi.

The St. Joseph News-Press reported that Huerter will join James Heathman, also of Topeka, as defense attorneys. The trial is scheduled for Feb. 22 in Atchison, Kan.

Kimmi disappeared last Nov. 6 from her home in Horton. Her remains turned up in May on property in Nemaha County.
