BELTON, MO. Ethan Kay scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and the Veritas Christian boys basketball team crushed Christ Prep Academy, 60-24, on Tuesday.
The Eagles jumped out to a 17-2 lead in the first quarter.
“They were a scrappy team with a lot of pressure,” Veritas coach Gary Hammer said. “I was proud of the way the boys handled the ball. The score may have not been close, but they made us work for it.” Veritas improved to 5-1. The Eagles will play host to the Wichita Defenders on Friday.
