Veritas girls fall to TCP
Topeka ? A scoreless third quarter doomed Veritas Christian School’s girls basketball team to a 46-24 setback to Cair Paravel on Friday.
Veritas (3-2) trailed, 25-16, at the half, but Cair Paravel pulled away with a 13-0 third quarter.
“We actually played pretty well, I thought,” Veritas coach Kevin Shelton said. “But (Cair Paravel) was a good-shooting team from the opening tip. We came out flat in the second half, and they got a big lead that was just too big a deficit for us to make up.”
Kayli Farley led Veritas with six points.
Veritas will play host to the Wichita Defenders on Friday.
