Kingman ? Fire destroyed a popular restaurant in a small southcentral Kansas town.

Kingman Fire Chief Steve Drosselmeyer says the fire early Thursday destroyed Jeri’s Kitchen, which he says was gathering spot for the community.

KFDI reports that the cause of the fire and an estimated dollar loss have not been determined.

Drosselmeyer says nothing from the restaurant’s interior is salvagable.

The state fire marshal is assisting with the investigation.
