2 drown, boy missing at Coffey County lake

? An 11-year-old boy is missing and presumed to have drowned after his father and uncle apparently drowned in a northeast Kansas lake.

The search for the boy, Jeremy Jenkins, began Saturday and continued Monday at the John Redmond Reservoir in Coffey County.

The Coffey County Sheriff’s office says that when officers responded to a boating accident call, they found debris and the bodies of 22-year-old Clinton Yeager and 40-year-old Jason Jenkins on the shoreline of the reservoir. Jason Jenkins was Jeremy Jenkins’ father, Yeager was the boy’s uncle.

The department said the three are from the Neosho Rapids area.

Authorities say the group was waterfowl hunting on the lake.
