Google’s fashion domain Boutiques.com like a search engine for style

Google is going into fashion with a new website called Boutiques.com.

The idea is that you can create your own shop based on your personal style preferences as well as brands, apparel and looks that you like. You can bet that Google recently buying Like.com has a lot to do with this.

Already Isaac Mizrahi, Tracy Reese, Cynthia Rowley, Oscar de la Renta, Tory Burch, Marchesa and Erin Featherstone signed on.

Once you click on an item the site will forward you to the brand’s website or to department store websites that carry the item such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Net-A-Porter, Yoox or Barneys New York.

So it’s really a luxe-looking version of Google Search mashed up with Google Shopping.

Also, the site also will allow you to click on a celebrity’s look and buy items shown there. The glamazons will eventually include First Lady Michelle Obama, Rachel Zoe, Anna Wintour and others.
