Manhattan ? Veritas Christian School lost to Heritage-Olathe, 49-41, in the finals of the Shea Tournament. Elijah Penny scored 14 points, Ethan Kay nine and Thomas Bachert eight for Veritas, 2-1. Veritas will play host to Kansas School of Deaf on Tuesday.

The Veritas girls fell in the finals of the Shea Tournament.

“We fell on a hard-luck shooting night,” Veritas coach Kevin Shelton said. “That and we gave up way too many rebounds. They outrebounded us by double. We were giving them second and third chances.”

Madison Bennett led the Eagles with five points.
