Minor injuries reported in rollover accident on Clinton Parkway, west of Kasold

A man was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon near Clinton Parkway and Hawthorne Drive in west Lawrence.

Lawrence police spokeswoman Kim Murphree said that about 1:10 p.m. a woman and child were in a vehicle that had stopped in the eastbound lane of Clinton Parkway. The vehicle was then rear-ended by another vehicle, whose driver was taken to LMH by ambulance. His injuries were not believed to be life threatening, Murphree said.

The woman and child in the rear-ended vehicle also went to LMH by private vehicle to get examined.

A second accident occurred when a witness to the first accident had stopped in Clinton Parkway’s westbound lane and got out of her vehicle.

Another driver then ran into the stopped car, veered into the median and later rolled, but suffered no injuries, Murphree said.
