‘Blue’ wins KU soccer intrasquad

Kansas University sophomore Whitney Berry scored a goal and had three assists in the Blue team’s 4-1 intrasquad soccer victory over the White team on Sunday at Jayhawk Soccer Complex.

Emily Cressy, who split time on both the Blue and White teams, scored once for Blue and had an assist for White.

Freshman Caroline Kastor played a ball off of a Cressy corner kick in the seventh minute to give White a 1-0 lead. Erin Lewis made it 1-1 before the end of the half.

“I thought in the first 30 minutes we didn’t do a great job of connecting but we did a better job in the second and third periods,” KU coach Mark Francis said.
