Trail Hawks Trail Runs

Lawrence's original trail — and ultra-running — club, the Lawrence Trail Hawks, hosts two weekly beginner-friendly trail runs on the scenic trails along the Kansas River. The Beginners' Trail Run, Mondays, and the women-only “Gal Gallop,” Thursdays, meet at 6:30 p.m. at the trailhead parking lot, just off 8th and Oak in North Lawrence. The supportive, noncompetitive group runs, usually between two and six miles, are open to participants of all ages and skill levels. There's no charge to participate.
