The National Weather Service in Topeka has allowed a severe thunderstorm warning for Jefferson County to expire.

A severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter-size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 miles per hour was moving east at 40 miles per hour.

No severe weather watches or warnings have been issued for Douglas County at this time.
