Holland to outline policy proposals for Kansas

? Kansas Democratic gubernatorial nominee Tom Holland is preparing to outline his policy proposals for the state.

Holland is a state senator from Baldwin City. His campaign declined to give details about the policy proposals ahead of an event scheduled Tuesday at the Statehouse.

Holland faces Republican Sam Brownback, now a U.S. senator, in November.

Brownback recently toured Kansas announcing what he calls his roadmap for the state, including policies for reviving the economy, reducing government spending and improving education.

The winner of November’s election will replace Democratic Gov. Mark Parkinson, who decided against running for a full term in the office.
