University Bridge Club announces results of its Aug. 7 meeting, with hosts Cora and Marc Kuepker, Bebe Huxtable and Ruth Harwood.

Blue winners were Dale Kring, first; Ray Ikenberry, second; Harold Riehm, third; Al Smith, fourth; and Lois Liebert, fifth.

Pink winners were Carol Smith, first; Cathy Waller, second; Wanda Kring, third; Dottie Miller, fourth; and Cora Kuepker, fifth.

The Wednesday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game of Aug. 4 was directed by Chris Lane. North-South winners were Charles Hedges and Chris Lane, first in A and B; Grant Sutton and Catherine Blumenfeld, second in A and B; Lois Clark and Larry Weatherholt, third in A; and Suzanne Wassmer and Betty Collier, first in C.

East-West winners were Paul Heitzman and David Piro, first in A; Virginia Seaver and Madelyn Jenks, second in A; Bobby Patton and Jan O’Connor, third in A, and first in B and C; Julia Dalton and Vera Dickson, second in B; and Jean Khatib and Jack Flickinger, second in C.

The Thursday Morning Mentor Duplicate Bridge Club’s game of Aug. 5 was directed by Lester Dalton. Winners were Debbie Bettinger and Jean Khatib, first; Jan O’Connor and Mary Cornwell, second in A; Barbara Haverty and Angie Davidson tied for third with Chris Lane and Florine Creek; and Sara Landau and Julia Dalton, fifth.

The Friday Afternoon Duplicate Bridge Club’s game of Aug. 6 was directed by Chris Lane. North-South winners were David Piro and Paul Heitzman, first in A; Bobby Patton and Kent McCullough, second in A; Charles Hedges and Adelaide Nyquist, third in A and first in B; and Virginia Seaver and Sally Taylor, fourth in A.

East-West winners were Grant Sutton and John Fittell, first in A and B; Lois Clark and Catherine Blumenfeld, second in A and B; Debbie Bettinger and Jean Khatib, third in A and B, and first in C; and Madelyn Jenks and Florine Creek, fourth in A.

The Monday Evening Duplicate Bridge Club’s game of Aug. 9 was directed by Virginia Seaver. The game was a North American Qualifying round and utilized the Howell movement. Winners were Patricia Lechtenberg and Grant Sutton, first in A and B; Larry Weatherholt and Steven Vossler, second in A; Eldon Herd and Mary Fenlon, third in A and second in B; Kent McCullough and Bobby Patton, fourth in A and third in B; Jeremy Martin and Nathan Roser, qualified in B; and Adelaide Nyquist and John Fittell plus Jean Khatib and Jolene Andersen, qualified in C.
