The Baker University football team was ranked No. 24 in the NAIA Football Preseason Coaches Poll and was picked fifth in the Heart of America Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.

Three other HAAC teams rounded out the Top 25, with defending national champion Lindenwood at No. 2, MidAmerica Nazarene at No. 6 and Missouri Valley at No. 10.

Ottawa University will enter the season at No. 9.

Baker will open the season on Aug. 28 on the road at Ottawa.
