Lawrence youth second, third in hurdles at Junior Olympics

? Lawrence’s Alexa Harmon-Thomas placed second in the 100 hurdles and third in the 200 hurdles Sunday at the USATF Junior Olympics Track and Field championships.

Harmon-Thomas ran 14.44 in the 100, behind Dior Hall, who was clocked in 13.88. Jaela Williams was third in 14.61.

Harmon-Thomas, who will attend Southwest Junior High this year, was timed in 27.92 in the 200 hurdles. Jasmyne Graham was winner in 26.64.

Harmon-Thomas set a national record in winning the pentathlon earlier in the week. She also earned a national title in the high jump.
