Campaign manager faces sex charges
Olathe ? Criminal charges have been filed against the campaign manager for 3rd District congressional candidate John Rysavy.
Jase Stanton, 23, campaign manager for Rysavy since February, told The Kansas City Star he is not guilty of the charges of aggravated sodomy and aggravated sexual battery. The charges were filed in Johnson County court for an alleged assault from 2008.
Rysavy is one of eight Republican candidates in the race to replace Democratic Rep. Dennis Moore. Rysavy said he knew of the charges and was sticking by his aide.
Stanton worked until November for Rep. Todd Tiahrt, who’s running for the U.S. Senate.
