From the Lawrence Daily World for April 27, 1910: “There will be little excitement in the coming district court session since there are only 62 cases on the docket and only six of them are criminal, all minor in nature. There are 16 divorce cases pending. … There has been no trace of the man who accosted and robbed two local women in South Park yesterday. They were not badly hurt but one lost her pocketbook after a brief struggle when she was dragged 10 feet.”
