Des Moines, Iowa ? Kansas freshman Andrea Geubelle had the best jump of her career Saturday at the Drake Relays, leaping 13.39 meters (43 feet, 11.25 inches) to win the women’s triple jump competition. Geubelle’s mark is currently the top mark recorded in the West region so far in the 2010 season. It is the second-best overall mark in Division I track and field.

A few hours before being crowned champion in the triple jump at Drake Stadium, Geubelle competed in the women’s long jump, finishing seventh with a mark of 6.03 meters (19 feet, 9.5 inches). Freshman Rebecca Neville finished 21st with a mark of 5.35 meters (17 feet, 6.75 inches).
